NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has objected to the government's decision urging taxpayers to clear tax dues by June 7 (now June 21), 2020. Issuing a statement yesterday, NADA has heartily appealed to the government to create a conducive business environment to keep the morale of all automobile entrepreneurs high." In order to protect the health of the general public in the face of the growing global Coronavirus infection, the Government of Nepal has also announced a nationwide lockdown from April 26, 2076, and extended it to June 12, 2077. The supply system itself is often shut down. In such a situation, when the Inland Revenue Department issued a public notice, the association has drawn the special attention of all the entrepreneurs and businessmen by requesting them to file their tax returns and tax payments at the earliest" read the statement.
In such a complicated situation of the country, all the businessmen involved in the automobile business are protesting against it. According to NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, the deadline for paying income tax, value-added tax, details of excise duty, and tax amount should be extended till mid-October, 2020 to address the legitimate and just demands of the overall automobile dealers.
