Exclusive: Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee Spotted in Birgunj Customs Office

The much-awaited Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee have been spotted at the Integrated Check Post in Birgunj Customs Office.  The Wrangler which was showcased at the 2018 NADA Auto Expo received unprecedented interest from Nepalese customers, claims Jeep.The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most recognised offroad vehicles in the world identified by its boxy design and amazing offroad capability. While the Wrangler is available as a two-door or a four-door SUV in the international market, we only see the four-door models in the customs' premises.The Wrangler is powered by a  2.0-litre turbocharged engine. The Wrangler measures 4,882 mm in length, 1,894 mm in width, 1,848 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,008 mm. It has a ground clearance of 217 mm. Four-wheel drive is standard. And the entire frame sits on 18-inch polished aluminium face wheels.The Wrangler is all about off-road driving, or at least the image of it. While it has a rugged image, available comfort features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen multimedia system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.To our surprise, Jeep's flagship SUV - the Grand Cherokee was also spotted along with the Wrangler. The Grand Cherokee is a five-passenger midsize SUV that carries signature Jeep design language and boasts a wide range of advanced high-end technologies that enable the SUV to go anywhere.The Grand Cherokee is powered by a 3.0L V6 Pentastar engine with stop and start technology and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
