Tata Nexon Reaches Production Milestone Of 1.50 lakh Units

Tata Motors has rolled out 1,50,000 units of the Nexon from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune, India. Tata Nexon achieved the 1st 50,000 milestones on Sept’18, followed by the 1,00,000 on Sept’19. As the first car in India to receive a full 5-star adult safety rating by Global NCAP, the Nexon has paved the way for other offerings from Tata Motors to establish new benchmarks in car safety in each of their respective segments.With its coupe inspired SUV design, floating infotainment screen, and premium interiors, the Nexon has enjoyed success in the Indian market. The recently launched BS6 version of the Nexon in the Indian market has further cemented its position as one of the best sellers in its segment. Tata Motors says the Nexon continues to garner a great response from customers and its demand has been consistently increasing leading to the highest ever sales in Oct 2020.The recent BS6 version of the Nexon is available with two engine options - a Revotron 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that delivers 120 PS of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque and a 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel mill that produces 110PS of maximum power and 260Nm of torque. Both the motors have 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT options. The Nexon comes with three drive modes -- Eco, City and Sport.The BS6 Nexon gets plenty of new features such as an electric sunroof, automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs, cornering fog lamps, cruise control, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic climate control, and push-button start/stop function, etc.
