IME Group Appoints Hemant Puranik As CEO Of Its Automobile Division

IME Group has appointed Mr. Hemant Puranik as CEO of their Automobile Division (IME Motors Pvt. Ltd., IME Automotives Pvt Ltd., and Ashok LT Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd). Fuelled by the vision of making a mark in the ever-growing automobile industry of Nepal, IME Group is taking aggressive steps to grow the business and the appointment of Mr. Hemant Puranik as CEO is the first step.Hemant has approximately 24 years of outstanding experience with 360-degree exposure in the automobile industry in managing overall operations & resources in the most efficient manner. In his previous stint, he has worked with  Tata Motors for approximately 23 years and has handled various roles in 11 different countries (including Nepal).It is worth noting that he was instrumental in turning around the business of Tata Motors passenger vehicles in Nepal with an aggressive management style, innovative marketing strategies, launches of new models, and expansion of the network.  He was also instrumental in the successful launch of the premium hatchback Tata Altroz in India, which is quite a successful brand now and is available only after a long waiting period.After a successful stint with Tata Motors, he became the CEO of “theeGO” which is the importer and distributor of theeGO brand of electric vehicles in Nepal. Under his strategic guidance,  theeGO has already sold off the first few lots of shipments.After two successful stints in Nepal, Mr. Puranik now has taken up a new challenge. He is known to be a taskmaster with a passion for automobiles and attitude of bringing the team together.
