Laxmi InterContinental P. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Hyundai automobiles in Nepal, is betting big on the broad acceptance of electric vehicles in Nepal. The company currently sells the Kona and Ioniq electric cars in the Nepalese market, and both models have been widely accepted by car enthusiasts in the country. Both models have helped to established Hyundai as one of the biggest players in the Nepalese EV market within a short span of time.With the government now waving off excise duties and revising custom duties on EVs, Hyundai plans to aggressively expand its EV portfolio.
