Tata Motors Crosses 10,000 EV Sales Milestone

Tata Motors has announced it has now crossed the 10,000-unit sales milestone with its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio. This cumulative figure of over 10,000 EVs sold includes models like the original Tigor EV, the Nexon EV, as well as the new Tigor EV and Xpres-T EV sedan. Tata Motors has a 70% market share - in the Indian electric passenger vehicle segment with the Nexon EV ruling the charts. In August of this year, the company crossed 1,000 unit volumes for the Nexon EV.Tata Motors is driving this shift of green mobility with the help of other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Autocomp, Tata Motors Finance, and Croma through an expansive e-mobility ecosystem – The Tata UniEVerse. Tata Power’s ramp-up of the charging infrastructure with 700 plus installations in 120 cities across India furthers the commitment to sustainability and modernization.Powered by Tata Motors’ Ziptron technology, Tata Motors launched the Nexon EV in January 2020, and recently launched its second EV in the personal segment, the new Tigor EV, which comes with a GNCAP 4-star rating for adult and child occupant protection and boasts of an extended ARAI certified range of 306 kms (under standard testing conditions).  The company has also launched the XPRES T electric sedan, its first product under the XPRES brand, exclusively for fleet customers, in the Indian market.Also Read:Tata Nexon EV Launched In Nepal At A Price of Rs 35.99 Lakh; To Be Available In 3 Variants
