The 2022 Honda CBR650R was launched in India at a price of INR 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). This is around INR. 50,000/- more expensive than the outgoing model that was launched last year. The bike is locally assembled in India with CKD kits.
There are no mechanical changes on the bike and there are minor visual updates. The new CBR650R is now available in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic colour options. Powering the bike is the same 649cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox that produces 87 PS at 12,000 RPM and 57.5 Nm at 8500 RPM.
It has a ground clearance of 132 mm, kerb weight of 211 kg and 635 mm seat height. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 15.4 litres.
