Legendary Stunt Rider Chris Pfeiffer No More!

March 15, 2022
Legendary stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer has passed away at the age of 51. The world-famous German stuntman took his own life after a period of severe depression.Chris was a four-time Red Bull Hare Scramble winner, and he had won numerous other trophies and championships in his career, which span over 20 years. After twenty years of such an illustrious career, first as a trial and enduro rider and then as a stuntman, Pfeiffer officially retired in 2015. All this was reason enough for BMW Motorrad to mark Chris Pfeiffer’s success on the BMW's F 800 R by bringing out a special model, the BMW F 800 R Chris Pfeiffer, closely resembling his competition bike.He retired in 2015, stating: "After 20 years as a professional driver I have decided that the time has come to stop. I am 45 years old and in the last few months, it has been more difficult every time to perform at a high level. This has always been my ambition and I have always said that when I could no longer improve it would be time to retire and give space to young riders. In the last twenty years, I have participated in a thousand events around the world, in 94 countries! It was an unforgettable experience with extraordinary adventures and experiences. I have worked hard to bring the sport of stunt to a good level and to impress, excite and entertain many spectators. It was a wonderful time! But one thing is sure: I will never stop driving because that is my life. Thanks to all ".
The world of motorcycle stunting wouldn’t be the same and its most popular personality will definitely be missed.
Thank you for the memories, Chris.
