Royal Enfield Nepal Now Under New Ownership; Triveni Group Takes Over

It is reported that Triveni Group has taken over Royal Enfield's operations in Nepal from MV Dugar Group. Dugar Brothers and Sons, under MV Dugar Group, has been selling Royal Enfield motorcycles as its official dealer in the Nepali market for over 20 years.Royal Enfield's new patron for the Nepalese division, the Triveni Group, is a mega business conglomerate of 48 companies with a widespread presence across manufacturing, trading & distribution, banking & insurance, energy, retail, education, entertainment & hospitality, and agriculture sectors.Although the partnership between Royal Enfield and MV Dugar Group was a successful venture, the decline in sales numbers and lackluster brand-building activities could be many reasons for the Indian manufacturer to search for a new partner.According to the sources close to the matter, there are hopes that the new partnership between Royal Enfield and Triveni Group will provide a new opportunity for the company in the Nepalese market.Royal Enfield currently offers the Classic 350 and Meteor 350 in the Nepalese market. The BS4 Classic 350 is available between Rs 5.58 Lakh to Rs 6.45 Lakh while the Meteor 350 is priced between Rs 6.68 Lakh to Rs 7.14 Lakh.Watch this space for more updates.
