Harley-Davidson LiveWire S2 Del Mar Revealed; Limited-Edition Electric Bike Already Sold Out

Harley-Davidson's electric vehicle wing LiveWire has introduced the new S2 Del Mar LE electric motorcycle in the US. The S2 Del Mar LE – LE stands for Launch Edition – is smaller, lighter, and cheaper than the LiveWire One, the brand’s debut electric motorcycle. Only the 100 examples of the Del Mar Launch Edition models will be made.

The all-electric S2 Del Mar motorcycle is the first LiveWire model to feature the new S2 Arrow architecture. LiveWire’s scalable Arrow architecture with proprietary battery, motor, charging, and control systems which debuts on the Del Mar model is intended to be modular and serves as the central component of the motorcycle chassis.

The electric motorcycle produces a targeted output of 80 hp, delivering projected 0-to-100 kph times of 3.5 seconds. The city range is expected to be 160 km on one full charge. The time it takes to fully charge the battery has yet to be revealed by LiveWire. However, the S2 Del Mar does support L1 and L2 charging.The Del Mar is an urban street tracker. The bike rides on 19-inch front and rear wheels equipped with custom-developed LiveWire Dunlop DT1. The slim seat tops a short tail section. A tracker-style handlebar fronted by a thin flyscreen places the rider in an upright position for a comfortable and controlled riding experience.The Del Mar Launch Edition model debuts at a price of $17,699, while the production version is expected to launch with a target of $15,000. Delivery of the Launch Edition and production versions of the S2 Del Mar model are set for the spring of 2023.
