Travelling To Pokhara By Road? Read The Latest Road Closure Notice

The Yampaphant-Ghansikuwa section of the Mugling-Pokhara highway will be closed for five hours daily from Sunday (June 7) due to road construction and expansion works. According to the notice issued by the Mugling-Pokhara Road Project Office, the road will be closed from 11 pm to 4 am daily from June 7, 2022 till further notice.The project will widen an 81-kilometer (km) section of the two-lane road to four lanes, thereby improving traffic capacity, reliability, and safety. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded road expansion project, due for completion by 2025, will cost a total of $254 million ($59 million of which the government will provide).
