PAN Compulsory On Purchase Of A 4-Wheeler

Buyers will now have to compulsorily submit their Permanent Account Number (PAN) while purchasing a four-wheeler, as per the notice issued by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).

According to IRD, the permanent account number should be submitted compulsorily while purchasing a four-wheeler and the seller should mention the permanent account number in the sales bill.

It is now mandatory for every customer to get a PAN number before buying a car, and showrooms will not be allowed to sell cars to customers who do not have a PAN number.
