TVS Working On Camera-based Helmet Reminder For Bikes, Scooters

TVS is working on camera-based systems to detect whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not, as per Autocar Professional.Speaking at Autocar Professional's Road Safety Conclave, TVS’ President of New Product Development, Vinay Harne, revealed that the system is already under development on a number of different models, and will come out soon.The camera-based system will detect whether the rider is wearing a helmet or not. In case the rider is not wearing one, a message will flash up on the digital display of the bike/scooter to remind the rider to wear a helmet.Harne also mentioned that TVS is at the forefront of introducing other rider safety systems as well, including Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) functions in the mass-market segment.
