Kia's flagship electric SUV, the EV9, has been unveiled in the Nepalese market with a price tag of Rs 1.80 crore. This 7-seater SUV (2+3+2 configuration) is built on Hyundai Motor Group's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the same platform used by the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
The EV9 boasts an innovative design and a high-tech interior, featuring a generous 3,100mm wheelbase supported by 19-inch wheels. Measuring 5,010 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,755 mm in height, the EV9 has a bold and imposing presence with a ground clearance of 177.8mm.
The design of the Kia EV9 follows the brand’s 'Opposites United' philosophy, giving it a distinctive look with sharp lines and surfaces. Its 'Digital Tiger Face' is highlighted by a 'Digital Pattern Lighting Grille' and vertical headlamps, contributing to its futuristic appearance. The Kia EV9 will be offered in six shades - Aurora Black Pearl, Ivory Silver - Matte, Ivory Silver - Gloss, Panthera Metal - Matte, Pebble Grey - Gloss and Snow White Pearl.
The rear features a high-mounted stop lamp with a spoiler, LED fog lamps, and a combination LED rear lamp. Inside, the car is equipped with an ECM inside mirror, electric heated outside mirrors, and a low-profile roof rack. The interior boasts one-tone leather seats, power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, and front heated and ventilated seats.
Additional features include LED interior lighting, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, a heated steering wheel, a push start button, a 12.3-inch navigation audio system with six speakers, Bluetooth with voice recognition, and drive modes with paddle shifters and cruise control. Parking is easier with front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
The EV9 also features a wireless charger with six power outlets, dual-zone automatic front air conditioning, and single-zone automatic rear air conditioning.
