Upcoming EV in Nepal: Zeekr X Electric Compact SUV

Geely-owned premium Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Zeekr, is set to make its debut in Nepal at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024.

Established in 2021, Zeekr focuses on producing high-end electric cars and the company's entry into the Nepalese market marks a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy, aiming to introduce its advanced electric vehicles to a wider audience.

Zeekr currently offers three models in the international market: the Zeekr 001 liftback, the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the latest Zeekr X hatchback. The Zeekr X is an electric compact SUV featuring a long wheelbase, slanted A-pillars, and sharp lines that add to its sporty appearance. Its dimensions are 4450/1836/1572 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

Built on the SEA electric architecture, the Zeekr X is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, in the international market. The single-motor version delivers a peak power of 200 kW and 343 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.

The dual-motor version offers a combined peak power of 315 kW and 543 Nm of torque, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Both versions come with a 66 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP range of 440 and 420 kilometers, respectively.

The Zeekr X is equipped with five cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. It features Zeekr AD driving assistance, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane change assist functions. Inside, the Zeekr X boasts an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, a 24.3-inch head-up display, and a sliding 14.6-inch central infotainment screen that can move in front of the passenger.
