Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has announced the inauguration and revamp of two new service centers in the Kathmandu valley, marking a significant expansion of its service network to better cater to its growing customer base.
The central service center in Gaurighat, Kathmandu, originally inaugurated in 2022, has undergone extensive renovations to comply with the latest BYD guidelines. This workshop now spans an impressive 45,000 sq. ft. and features eight service bays, each equipped with specialized tool sets for electric vehicles (EVs).
It also boasts a substantial spare parts warehouse, ensuring a top-notch servicing experience. Additionally, dedicated stations for dent and paint services and a comfortable customer lounge have been introduced. The Gaurighat workshop is staffed by over 50 dedicated employees.
Similarly, Eco Drives Automobiles, the authorized distributor of BYD in Lalitpur, has inaugurated a new service center in Kupondole. This facility covers 8,556 sq. ft. and includes six service bays, with two designated for urgent services and four equipped with specialized EV tools.
The center also features a washing bay and a dedicated warehouse for spare parts, ensuring efficient and comprehensive service for BYD customers in the region.
In addition to the enhanced service centers, Cimex has introduced a Road Side Assistance (RSA) vehicle and a service hotline to provide emergency support whenever needed.
BYD currently has service centers operating in Biratnagar, Birtamode, Janakpur, Birgunj, Chitwan, Gaurighat, Kupondole, Butwal, Nepalgunj, and Dang. In the next three months, the BYD service network will expand to include new centers in Itahari, Pokhara, Swayambu, Bhaktapur, and Banepa.
